Cry, Tyra...

It was ridiculously early in the morning. The birds, even, were only just drowsily opening their eyes. But Tyra had been there the whole night, with good reason.
The previous afternoon, she'd recieved notice that yet another of her closest Army companions had been shot down in battle.
She'd been quietly crying alone in the forest the whole night.

And now she'd run out of tears to cry.
She didn't like to show weakness, but Tyra couldn't control it.
She sighed, her breath cold in the morning frost. She was freezing, but her heart ached too much to care.

Orchid heard the soft sobs from miles away. She ran as fast as she could to reach the sound

Quickly, hearing footsteps, Tyra inched around the back of the tree she'd been leaned against, and tried to seal muffled sobs and broken breathing beneath her lips.

It was silly. A Military Soldier, coming to tears so quickly.
But it was one of her best friends that had fallen.
How could she help it?

Orchid looked around and saw the crumpled heap of human on the floor.The hep was crying, her sense's were too good, not to hear even if she wanted to. She knelt down and put her hand on what seemed to be a shoulder.

Choking back a sob, Tyra bit her lip, feeling a warm hand on her shoulder.
"How did you..." She began, her voice lost in a swell of emotion. "How did you find me?"
Gazing upwards, she looked up. At least she wasn't imagining any presence, someone stood beside her, hand rested upon her shoulders.

She felt guilty. She shouldn't be crying. A soldier shouldn't cry.
But it was so hard to hold back tears.
It was so hard to stop her friend's face from echoing into her mind.

"What happened?" Asked Orchid. There shouldn't be any violence in Tranquil Island. Orchid loathed violence...

Tyra lifted her head from her hands, daring to show her tear-glossed eyes. She didn't know why this girl was helping her, but she was somewhat glad.

"My comrade died." She answered grimly. The words came out bittersweet, and her voice crackled under the strain of tears. Tyra was never good at fighting pain. Physical pain? She was born to fight that. Emotional pain, however, was a different story entirely.

"I experience it everyday..." Hunting Poaching... Orchid thought.She offered out her hand, "I'm Orchid-Leotie. Or Orchid if you prefer..."
