Gem sat on the bench, slumping. It wasn't very attractive for a young lady to sit hunched up, but who really cares anyway? For one thing, she wasn't really a lady anyway, and for another, she felt sad and...lonely.
"What did I expect?!" She yelled out loud, scaring a few guys who were walking past, gawping as normal. "Okay...that was stupid. But...I told them what I had to tell them. I'm dangerous. Bad for them," she told herself, trying to believe that it was true. It was hard though. Tears spilled out of her eyes, but nothing happened. Her perfect body stayed...perfect. This normally made her see that it was okay...not today.
The day was very hot. Her head ached when she thought of the day in the mists. It would be better to got there now-while she could stand the sunlight, it made her feel ill. She also felt thirsty, but she didn't have any money for a smoothie and, besides, she was torturing herself as much as possible.
People were complaining about the weather. Between conversations, Gem picked up that there was a fountain nearby. Pure Water... Gem thought, toying with the idea. The tech veiw vanished, and was replaced by a... unacceptable sight. Gem was staring into the waters of the fountion, with another female gripping onto her arm. What is she doing? Cana darted over to the scene, with nearly inhuman speed. He body slammed both gem and the girl into the ground, AI strandered defeting logic.

Gem blinked. No reflection. Proof. She was a true vampire. A monster.
"I...I didn't ask for this," she whispered to the water. She leaned ever so slightly closer, wringling her nose. It smelt funny-too...pure. No actual point of the smell at all. "Ugh..." She shivered. "Eeep!"
Oh, great...I forgot about the... Gem panicked in her mind. Her eyes froze open in shock. "It can't be...I had some just yesterday...who's doing this to me?!"
Gem felt a hand on her arm. She looked around. Then she glanced at her arm. The white shade that was her skin showed up worse when next to the other's peach skin. She looked at the person. She too had a look of shock across her face. Gem could just tell what was going through this girl's mind-She isn't human!. "No..." Gem breathed, her mouth dry. "Not again..."
Then she was slammed into the ground. Don't get angry...don't get angry...violence isn't the answer... Gem bowed her head, feeling embarresed. How could she make a joke out of it? He'd seen her, inches away from...well...self-electricution! He was worried? But she'd yelled at him...and...and...she was the danger!
"I...I...I don't know. I think so. I think I'm okay. But that doesn't matter..." Gem whispered, hoping he could pick it up. "Besides, my reasons were stated...reasons I don't wish to repeat right now...not here...what I'm trying to say is...Cana, why are you here? I already told you..." Gem finally looked up, now communticating with her eyes-I already told you that I am a killer-that those around vampires die.

Abbi was astonished she had just been standing there for about 5 minutes and out of nowhere this guy crashes into her a the non-human girl..the only thing abbi needed to know was what the girl was...Wait Abbi said to the two people standing in front of her.Neither of you are human! She said stepping back.She was terrified she had never been surrounded by so much non-human energy before.Please i'm new here and i..well let's just say i'm not like the other humans can someone please fill me in a bit?

Gem stood up slowly, and backed up the other way-next to the other non human.
"I...I don't want to frighten you. Before I explain, let me appologise to both of you. I'm sorry I pulled you down. I should've...pushed you off. And I'm sorry about my skin temperature. It's cold...isn't it?" Gem nodded, turning towards Cana.
"And...I'm sorry to you too. I was too wrapped up in actions and words from the forest. I didn't think about how it was for you. I knew, too. That's just selfish of me, and I understand if you hate me forever, Cana. As for anything else? Not really. Maybe just...tell me if I get...too..." She gestured wordlessly to the fountain. "It'd be nice if we were friends too, but, like I said...I'm sorry."
Gem looked at the other girl. "How can you tell he's not human? I mean, I just gave it away and all, but Cana? He smells kinda metallic...oh, wait you're human. No senses!" Gem laughed a little. "Fill you in? We excist beside humans. We try not to harm them. Of course, we can't always...anyway! We are what you call monsters, right? Us...me...I am a vampire," Gem explained, glancing at Cana. "I thought you'd notice because of my non-refelection stuff, but...it doesn't matter. I don't really know anything more about us non-human types..." Gem shrugged, still glancing at her fellow non-human. "What about you, Cana?"

Cana turned his head, gazing off into the ocean.

" I am... human." He stated gravly. " I eat, I breath, I live, I... die."
His thoughts turned to his impending destruction, as is the fate for all technology. " But you can not harm me Gem, as I so pointed out earlier. You do not have the technology."

His veiw turned towerds Abbi. Uninvolved as she may be, she was a creator, and desrved repect. " Gem is a vampire, my lady. She has two sides, one of hunger and another of complacence. I have seen both. Although," he siged. " The hunger comes more oftern the I would hope. Just... I need to help her. Do what you think you must, but if you do not wish for danger, I can handle this."

Gem looked at nothing in particular. She just let Cana's word wash over her. When he'd finished, her mouth twiched a little.
"I don't like the hungry side of me either. It works kinda like good cop, bad cop. I am both." She touched her non-beating heart. "We are one," she explained, and an echo was almost heard behind those words. The echo was cold and harsh. The real Gem was being calm. She felt better now-someone she wasn't a danger too. Someone wanted to help her.
"See? It must be all in my head. You need to lighten up you know. We both know you're prettier, but, if no one likes seeing you...doesn't that tell you something?" Gem whispered, talking to the vampire inside. "I know this must be hard for you, but...as I have help...I can seriously mean this...finally, I can say-I will not harm you, Abbi. If I am helped, I can honestly hope you don't see red eyes very often. And...even though Cana is right, maybe we can be friends," Gem smiled, her hand still on her chest. "I am hopeful that I can co-operate better now. I have a purpose-to make sure people see this side of me more often."

Gem looked reprochfully at Cana. "She doesn't mean to offend people. And besides, I sort of pointed out something to Abbi anyway," she reminded him, looking away pointedly. "So if you're snapping at someone, snap at me. Or not at all. It's not nice to see you uptight," Gem continued, closing her eyes. Her face went completely blank. "That's not very nice, by the way, either," Gem muttered to the vampire Gem.

"It was nice to talk to you without things getting too heated. I'm sure we shall talk soon. But I don't think you'll be coming out just yet," she finished, taking her hands off her heart and opening her eyes.
"I forgot how bright it was," Gem said off-handly, blinking a couple of times. Smiling her small smile, Gem twirled back round to face the other two people here.
Abbi still looked slightly apprehensive. Cana looked a little...embarressed? He didn't appear to be staring at anything in particular.
"Hey, sleepy head, what's up?" Gem folded her arms as she waited. A few moments passed. She tried to make her face level with his, waving a hand in front of his eyes. "Cana? Is it my fault? Did I say something wrong? I'm sorry if I did! If I didn't-which right now I'm highly doubting-what's wrong? I've never really seen you look so..." Gem thought of the word the place in her sentance.
