looking again

I looked around me , deep into the misty surroundings. It came forth from the elegant mist that endorsed me.The shape became fuzzy around the edges as the creature came closer and closer and closer- so close that if I out streched my delicate arm, the blackness would swallow me up. Then the water came,the shape chucked it at me - controlled the water to attack me. Then it the blinding blue light awoke me as the creature receded back into the unclear haze.

A dream. It had all been a dream. I changed into my panther form and stalked of into the night of the howling city.The foster parents would'nt miss me they had only taken me for the money that was involved. I was never loved. Always called "The FREAK." I hated being different but i loved being the stalking panther that was me. I sang Sam's town by the killers in my mind. The dream haunted me still. I'm awake this isn't the way it's ment to be. I'm wide awake.Why? I fell asleep once more and the shape creature came again but more clearer. I saw that it had the wings of an angel and thebody of the black panther. More blue fire and a stream of blue fire as i became a dragon -a hulking beast that could destroy anything and everything then the blackness came.

I was on my way to go hiking in the woods, when i saw a room in one houses lights flicker on and then off. Then like a lightning bolt it hit me. I just remembered that in that house about a month ago i saw a girl in which i had never seen before go into the house and she didn't come out. So at that moment i became very very suspicious. But hen i hear my mom scream, "Braylyn, you forgot your blaket." Oh thats right i am going on a picnic and i forgot my blanket. So then i headded home and found my blanket, and i started back to the woods again singing a song and skipping. "I am off to see the pond, the wonderfull wonderfull pond."

I heard some one singing. A beautiful voice that could only belong to an angel. Talk to the voice! Talk to the voice ! What In Devilsnare? I cursed. It was the voice from my dreams. I dont know how or why I knew but It was there, like my own personal poltergiest. I came to the long winding river. jumped in and swam off as a kelpie.

I am on my way to my rock across the river and all of a sudden I hear a loud splash. So I turn around to look and it is a fish. Or wait a second I think I see legs. Oh well I will think about that when I get to my rock. By now you would think that I would be use to the short cold sting of water, by mid July. Usualy when I get to my rock I make up stories in my mind. But today I want to think about my past stories and my life. But then something catches my eye.

Oops. Some one saw me. I was done for. I swam as far and as hard as i could. Out of the corner of my eye i saw a grl who was possibly the voice follow the trail of bubbles from the escaped air. I resurfaced at the meeting point of river and sea. I lost her i thought and for a few glorias seconds i was able to relax on the rocks as a mermaid. "Wait" i heard the girl cry, She was out of breath. Suddeny and swiftly i dived into the crystal clear water and tenatively swam toward the girl....

"Wait. Wait. Who are you?" But I couldn't see that thing anymore, but what I did see was a swift movement of the water. So instead of going to my rock first today I decided to follow the movement of the water. I followed it out for many hours. When suddenly I noticed that the sun was about to set. So I headed straight for home. Tomorrow I will find that thing that made the water move. And if it is friendly to me, I will be friendly to it. I thought as I was returning home.

When i was back on dry land another girl (gamer gal this is you)was looking directly at me. "oh..... help." i whimpered. Caught twice in a day. Nothing for it, FLOWER POWER TIME!!!!! Why a lotus flower i don't know. I hoped the girl thought she was imagining things becuase if she didn't I would be roasted snail meat....

The figure came again,this time as a wolf with angels wings..wild power............blue fire...........need.......friends"What was that about?" Asked I. If i do need friends those two girls would do - if they could be trusted. I'll go to them tomorow, I just hope they're related 'cos they looked quite simmular.....

I was walking back to the river to find that thing, when I saw this other girl in front of me. So I stay back a ways, I decided to follow her. So I stay a good ways away, tring not to get caught. Oops I just stepped on a twig. Oh good the girl didn't turn around. What... she is headding to MY rock, I have to get there before she does. So I take a quicker route to my rock. As I jumped in the water the girl turned around. But I was already out of sight. So I got to my rock and laid down, and pretended like I have been there all day.

I swam towards the first girl's last known place (well for me anyway) to what has always been my rock. I never thought that the voice from the other side of the rock was a human , I'd always thought that the rock was magic, it was nice to belive so too..... Darting and flying throught the salty water i swam towards the girl i popped my head out of the waterjust as she looked up, The girl mumbled some thing as i began to swim closer . I stopped Just in case I scared her.

"Who are you and What are you?"the girl asked
"Shape-Shifter" I mumbled incoherently........

"Shape-Shifter?" I asked confused. "What is that? What is your name? Where do you live? How old are you?" I had so many questions, and they were all rushing out so fast. I didn't know what her expression is saying. I am confused.

" Natures Child...." I whispered " As old as time it's self, infact I created time come to think of it... You ready?" I pulled her into the water changing her into a mermaid as they swam off with her back to the beach. When I was glad to be back on dry land, I'd had enough of changing for the day. The girl - whose name I still didn't know - just stared at me - mermaids tail gone- With big innocent eyes

"Umm...Ok...Well then... My name is Braylyn. But you didn't answer my other question. Where do you live? And what is a shape-shifter?" Braylyn was still confused. She can't think straight. She is getting dizy, and woozy. All of a sudden Braylyn falls backward into the water. Had she just fainted?

How I wanted to go but somehow we were connected. As I passed , the last thing I saw was her passing out aswell.

That can not be said yet but it's because you have found her. Heal her. Us ethe blue fire with in you..... The wolf with wings left as i woke up.
I healed Braylyn as was told to. She woke up and said
"What was that????"
I didn't answer. I could not answer. I did not know the answer my self. I felt so alone again. I felt so different to the world. I felt no one could quel the pain inside of me.....
" I don't know" I whispered....

"Ok... Well something happened. And I don't know what happened either but something did happen. Ouch...My thumb..." I comared my two thumbs and one of them, the one that made me say ouch, had a huge dent in the side. "Oww...my thumb...it hurts...soooooo bad." Then all of a sudden I realized that it didn't hurt or have a dent in it anymore. "Wait a sec. It doesn't hurt anymore. But you have to give me some answers." Braylyn said still very dazzled and confused.

"Long story short, I'm a shape shifter born in the first seconds of time and I also have healing powers. Apparently I need you. Which I do and please don't tell any one......." I babbled. This was going to be hactic and possibly slightly annoying if Braylyn was going to ask questions. But thankfully she wouldn't because she looked at me in bewilderment.
"Why do I always get this face whenever I tell some one what I am??......".............................

I could see in Natures eyes that she was getting annoyed from all of my questions. "Ok thanks...That makes things alot clearer. I have one more question though. Are there any more shape-shifters like you in the world?" I was sorry that I asked another question, but at least I didn't ask 38 more questions.

"No... I'm the only one left. My sisters were hunted to almost extinction." I answered."Can I be your friend? I'm sorry I just jumped on you with out explanations......" I missed Orchid and LotusFlower, Keller and Fucshia (prononced fu-sh-a)...................

"Umm. Shure. Ugg i have a couple more questions. 1. What shapes can you shift into? 2. Can you transform into a human? Darn it. I am sorry if you are getting frustrated with all of my questions, but I have so many. And I am still kinda confused." I could tell that she was starting to regret telling me what she is, but then I told myself that I would ask questions periodically. So I sat still on the rock with my new friend staring up at me with a expression that I couldn't quite figure out what it was.

My expression on my face was a mixture of wonder and curiosity."I can change into any form but I can't be a human. I'll never be able to change back..." I answered...... Braylyn started to speak...

"Oh...You just said that you could never change into a human, again. Are you saying that you have been a human before?" I was full of curiosity. I think that is what she said atleast.

"No... I was never a human. Always a shape shifter.Any more questions?" Replied I.....

"Umm...Yes...But I will wait a while before I ask any more. Do you have any questions for me?" Braylyn felt sorry for asking so much questions. So she wanted to give her a chance to ask me some.

"Not really....."Replied I. Iwas never the one to ask questions about some one. I felt it as an invasion of personal privacy...........

Braylyn saw on the face of the what she thought to be a girl curiosity and wonder and a little bit of embarrasment, is what Braylyn thought she saw. "Umm...Well Natures Child...I have to go home now...It is getting late I will see you tomorrow."
