Always at the wrong time...

Gem closed her eyes and changed back. That feed had been okay-but wasn't there anything in this jungle apart from cats?
Human-ish Gem chuckled a little and wiped away a little blood that was left near her mouth. Even though it was a pretty sinister thing to laugh at, it was all Gem had really known for all of her...existance.
A movement made Gem stop laughing. If there was something dangerous out here, she wouldn't be able to change-it would take a couple of hours at the very least before she could transform again.
Again, sudden movements. Gem looked around her, wrinkling her nose. "Eww...water. Pure water," she complained, making a mental note not to go near it.
Twigs snapping. Gem panicked and ran into the vines. Whatever was there was standing right where she'd been. But what was it?
She breathed out...then gasped. I'll have to back away... she thought, doing so...and stepping on a twig herself. Her head spun a little. Whatever was there would find her now. She could be killed. Running would make it easier for the thing to get her. I'm going to die!

Coughing and spluttering the jungle was heaving with bugs, flys and many creepy crawlies, this isn't the best place for Ray to be hunting. On all fours, he crept behind a distent tree, spelling something... dead.
Behind, a small rat scuttered through the vines small but still good enough to drink, he lept to his pray like a game of cat and mouce. "Here little kitty, kitty... Come to Ray..." mumbleing to himself, his eyes looking though the helpless rat body. Russle russle. Somethong is in the tree, he turned, his food was gone "Darn it! Well, I didn't have bird in a while." He pieried to the tree, clutching onto the bark, swoop!

Gem jumped quickly out of the way. From the shadows, she studied her attacker. Red eyes. Red eyes. Red eyes.
He...he isn't human. He...he is a vampire! Gem thought, looking down at herself. No. It wouldn't work. This vampire was hunting. Gem looked like a human. He would attack her. He wouldn't think about it. He would just attack.
Gem ran into the clearing. He would, of course follow. But whilst he could run at the speed of 1,000,000 runners in one, she could run as fast as a human female.
It was a stupid idea. Now she was trapped. He would hunt. She would die. She couldn't change back yet, and the only way out was by swimming across the river. If she did that, she would only die faster.
Gem closed her eyes and thought of her friends. "I am going to die," she whispered, a tear falling down her face. "I hope you have good lives."

Rushing to his pray, the taste of blood flood from his lips, he was so desperate. "Don't worrie this won't hurt a bit!" Draging the frightfull girl his nails digging into her stomach, not knowing how much he is hurting her, his fangs ready to stick onto her throat.

Ray twitched his nose, this is not right? What happening? This isn't a human. He stopped, eye to eye with the timid girl, his sniffed her neck, bloodless. "What! You aren't a human, then... then. Are you a vampire?" He was astonished, about to kill another one of his species, gentily he placed her on the trees branches to let her calm down.

Gem screamed as the other vampire's nails dug into her skin. No red substance came pouring out, of course, because she was dead. Blood doesn't flow in the veins of those who were dead.
A sort of whitish substance did come out however-like a spirit or something simular-the remains of blood from long ago.
Gem didn't pay attention. She still screamed. Her stomach wound was painful-the guy had sharper nails than he must've thought. Gem gasped a little at how much it hurt-and it would stay this way for a while as a wound inflicted by a vampire never fully heals.
"J...j..just kill me! It hurts so much! It didn't ever hurt this much before, not even when I was created!" Gem yelled, not even caring that she'd been carried to a tree near some water. "Get help! Just get help or something! I can't...stand...the pain! It's almost like having water poured on me or being set on fire! It's worse than being bitten! It's worse than being tortured! I need help! It isn't going away!"

He felt so anoyed, he should have known she was a vampire, her deadly screams brought his heart to his feet, Ray had to do somthing. He jumped off the branch with the vampire still lying there, hurt, screaming, heart brocken. "What can I do? What can I do! Uh... This is realy bad." Ray panicked so much he was shacking, water can't help, plants can't help, how can he help? Blood? Can blood help? He doesn't know but he has to try, he ran. Zipping and zooming, dogging vines in his path, breacking trees, smashing rocks trying to find some blood.

He returned at dawn, she was still up there, not screeming just lying there, he took the dead rat up to her, dripping the blood into her mouth, hoping for a miracle, then...SNAP! The branch broke. He lept to the next tree in an instant, with the girl plunging towards the rushing, rampaging river.

Gem blinked. "This so cannot be happening you complete fool! If I touch it I'll-"
Like a cue, her foot touched the water. A small electric shock went through Gem. She couldn't jump. She still couldn't transform. Holding her breath, she closed her eyes. If she was going to die, she wouldn't make a fuss about it. It was meant to happen-clearly.
"Ow...it hurts more than I thought it would," she whispered when she came up, speaking directly to the vampire. He bit me. He tried saving me by putting me into a tree. Now I'm going to die. And I can't do anything about it. Gem thought. It isn't...
"...great coming up and..."
...down like this. I thought it would be quick...
"...but it isn't...I can feel the pain still! You assisted in my death!!!" Gem yelled at the vampire standing next to the tree. "Why did you kill one of your own kind?"

[sorry to barge into the conversation] Danie was hovering around the tangled viens cause she wanted to get a guardian bubble she walked over to the lake and prayed for a guardian bubble whilst she was waiting she heard a scream nearby. She started to investagate she was given the adorable colourful guardian bubble she said to it "Hello there ur soo tute!" She hugged it and hovered over to the screaming. She noticed a girl with black hair suffering from the water. "Oh my we have to hellp her! Let's go" [super hero time: dun dun dundunnnnnnnn!] danie carefully grabble the arms of the girl and pulled as hard as she can and lifted her out of the water and placed her on the grass. " Here's a towel I didn't know water drains your vampire powers I guess you wonder how I know that well ~psycic~!!! haha!" Danie dryed her down with the towel.

Ray stayed up in the tree feeling sad and scared, he was foolish, why did he let her in the water, if he could have changed back in time he could have saved her, but it was over. He trembled with fear and glimsed over the tangled vines, he saw someone, someone helped the her, the vampire. Ray was relefed, he pounced onto the broken branch and sat there looking, he wanted to see a better look at what was going on, still trembleing with fright *SNAP* the branch snaped on two once again.
" AHH! I didn't expect this!!"
He quickly grabed hold of the nearest branch, he couldn't make it. He grabed onto a dry weak vine, hopeless. He landed on a rock on the water, still keeping himself dry, perfect. Although, he was seen by the two girls, not going according to plan.
"Uh... Hi?"
He felt stupid. He landed next to the hurt vampire and what he thought a human next to him, holding a bubble?

Gem was getting used to the idea of...dieing, so it was a complete surprise when Danie rushed into the water to save her.
"Danie! Danie! You...you...you're here and you rescued me!" Gem sobbed, feeling shaken. Danie had produced a towel and was now drying Gem off. A slight electrical spark shocked Gem again, and the wound still hurt. "Danie!" More sobbing and tears. "I'm really grateful!!! Thank you so much! Yes, water does rob a vampire of their powers. It can kill them!"
Gem heard snapping and snarled a little. It sounded like her almost-killer was still here.
But wait...when she could see him, he seemed a little guilty? Like he was sorry? Then he...cared?
When he landed next to Gem, she stopped sobbing and looked properly at him. He seemed pretty wary. What should she do?
"H...h...hi," Gem answered, feeling a little uncertain. "I really should kill you...but not today. I'm not strong enough yet. I'm Gem...a vampire. I couldn't change into my true form because I only just fed before you came. Who are you?"

Danie smiled and politely said "Hi there Im called Danielle Temp! But you can call me Danie! Pleased to meet you-- *Gasp*..... R-Ray...Temp?! ~{Psychic}~ .........(Silence in the room...)........................................................................................................................................................................ ..............................................................................................................................................................

She shook her head and said "Oh sorry Im Psychic so that means if I try real hard I can read ur thought's and more! {~spooky~} "Te-he! Oh gem I can't have you crying all over my. (Gem: *sob sob*) Oh come on... Blue Skys...... *hug*

Gem smiled a little as Danie hugged her. Maybe she'd be okay. If her friends-or one of them-were/was here, she felt...comforted.
"Ray..." Gem repeated, sounding a little...dumb. "Ray...I have to say, isn't it funny how the nicest sounding names turn out to belong to those destined to become...one of us?" She stood up now, feeling stronger. "Maybe...if I don't kill you, one of my friends will," Gem warned, closing her eyes. "Oh, how awful! It appears to be working. And I feel kinda angry. I wonder if I can control it..." She murmered, opening her eyes and blinking. "Why haven't you changed back yet? Concern overides anger."

The girl stood looking angered, she asked why so he replyed. "I didn't have my share of blood yet, I won't be back to normal untill I get my blood! Untill then I will stay like this... Problem?" He closed his eyes then licked his dry lips, Ray looked at Danie sitting down with her bobbing bubble buddy flotting next to her, he compared himself to her, it reminds him of his little sister long ago. One small tear fell to the top of his cheek, he quickly wipped it off, hoping no one was looking, this made him feel like a wimp, he's a vampire for goodness sake; a stronge and powerful creature and he's crying; he stood, then walked towards the lake crouching at his reflection.

Danie closed her eyes and looked back when she was 4 years old when she used to have a family but now doesnt *Gasp* "Bro?.....Is that you? Whats your full name, whats your favourite teddy of your sisters collection whats your mothers name what did your parents used to do at bedtime? Please I really need to know! If you really are my... Brother..." Danie blushed and started crying in rays arms *weep,sob,sniff*

Gem watched the vampire. He was crying and showing emotion. No vampire should be able to do that. Unless, she was wrong in thinking he had been a vampire for a while...
"New-born," Gem murmered, looking down, her ace shadowy. "That's why you can't change back with concern yet. That's why you attacked before investigating. That's why you can show your sadness and guilt. You're a new-born. Although, you must be near the end of your phase...a very new vampire would've killed us. You did not. I wonder if this could possibly be the last stage of the recklessness..."
Danie was crying. They were related...but then Danie jumped into his arms. Gem acted quickly, taking her back.
"I am so sorry, Danie. Trust me, if he wasn't a newborn, I wouldn't have done that to you!" Gem said, pain and panic in her voice. "A newborn vampire is unstable! He will kill anything just to get blood-even his own kind! If Ray doesn't get his blood, we will be killed and no one will be safe! I need to help. I didn't want to transform again so quickly, but I cannot help it. I can only hope she and I will co-operate this time...Danie, I won't harm you," she added, rushing her words and getting ready to transform. Her hand were on her heart and her eyes were closed. It happened instantly.
Gem got faster, taller, stronger. She looked even more pretty than her humn-ish form was. And now, when she opened her eyes, they were a dark shade of red-a sign that she was not thirsty.
"So...you're Ray right? The other vampire." Gem laughed a little. Ray hadn't turned around. "Do you not want to see my true form?"

Gems eyes became bright, blood red, a shiver trickled down Ray's back, she looked beautiful but deadly. Her hair looked lighter, when she stood it was like she was a great tiger shadowing a small mouse. "Um... I, um...." Ray was lost for words, not exactly something he would do. He was wondering what she ment about "New born" He knows he won't hurt anyone, she looked so protected to Danie, like if I even breath at her she will kick me in the stomach, he got up.
"Look, if you think that I am what you call a New born, from what I can see I am no-..." His nose twitched slightly, he looked at Danie, the blue marks running down her neck.
"Veins... beautiful... Vain-" He clutched onto a branch, pulling himself back onto his feet, back to his right staight.
"- Again I won't hurt anyone! If you might give me a chance I..." He couldn't stop himself, the taste of blood, he was so thirsty, he needed a drink. Slurp. He knows he is a vamprire, but he is also part human, so he dipped his lips into the water slurping it to try to resist drinking blood.
"Uh, I... I. Need something to drink, to get rid of my thirst... So thirsty!" He can't do it anymore, he ran to Danies side. "I'm sorry..." His jaws opened...

"No! Don't hurt her!" Gem ran towards the two, pushing Danie out of harms way. "Ray! Ray! Listen to me! Concentrate on me! Claw me again, I don't care what you do! I don't care if you bite me! Just don't hurt your sister! Change back like I...am...oh no!" She was changing back again, fighting against a vampire. Concern. Fear. Overides everything.
"Danie, run away! I can handle this! Ray! Quit it! Remember what you are. It doesn't have to be this way!" Gem yelled, attempting to restrain the other vampire. He was hurting her, bit by bit. Fresh wounds but no blood.
"Stop trying to be a killer!" Trying hard not to scream again, she dropped the attack, exhusted. Which was a bad move against a crazed vampire who didn't care if his fellow died.
"Danie! Go and get help!"

Ray's eyes flooded with tears, was it because of happiness or sadness? That he didn't realise that has was about to kill his sister or because he was thirsty? Both. Seeing his sister running into the distance, crying, made him think that he was.... Evil. He didn't want to be a evil vampire. He just wanted a drink. Something that'll keep him from turning into this creature. He looked at Gem's face, she squeezed his body so tight that he can't feel a thing untill her eyes melted back to normal colour, he couldn't feel a thing. "Uh... I can't go on.... Like this..." Ray's voice was dry and silent, like he was thirsty since the day he was born. Ray let himself fall to the ground, the dirt swallowed him up, well, he thought it was since that's what he felt like happening. His skin was painted crisp white, like the snow, he clutched onto his stomach. "Gem... I... need your help... If I don't get a drink soon... I might fade to dust... Please.."....

Gem stood up, closing her eyes, contrating. The vampire girl was soon back. She was about to hunt for the other vampire, but then she stopped. Turning back to him, she spoke.
"You know, Ray," she said to him, neither kindly nor unkindly. "You aren't the only guy she helps by transforming. I thought maybe you should know that. And that maybe you could talk to her about it. Because...it's good to be honest." Gem swept away, returning with a lion's dead body. "Here. Now you should...talk to Gem. The other one. Goodbye."
Gem was back, feeling wary. Why had the inner Gem said that? What was she trying to do-start a war between two or even three people? Gem waited for Ray to respond to her inner vampire's request.

Danie wanted to get help but she was so scared so she just screamed "EEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKK!!!" As danie screamed a red gas lead tawards rays mouth she shared some of her blood to ray. Danie walked tawards ray and gem 'Eventhough your a vampire it doesnt mean i dont love you anymore ray! Brothers and sisters need to make sacrifices for eachother.....' Danie's guardian bubble glew up 'bbeeeeeeeewwww!' and it glew a dazziling glow which was helped by danie. Danie heled onto her teddy bear and bubble buddy and fainted.....

Gem looked over at Danie, tired again. "She's had a rough day. Let her sleep for a bit."
Turning back to Ray, her expression blanked. Was he going to ask about what the vampire Gem had said? It wasn't like it was that bad-why should any of her friends be a secret to him? It wasn't like he'd take it the wrong way. It wasn't like she loved the other guy. She didn't love Ray either. But did he know that? He wouldn't do anything stupid, like become jealous and fight over Gem with another. Besides, the other-Cana-wouldn't fight back because he wouldn't know what was going on. Or would he? Should Gem tell him? Her head spun with trying to answer all these questions.
"Um." Gem said quietly, trying to break the silence.

The red gas driffted into his mouth.
"Uh... Wha- What happend?" He questioned, he saw himself lying on the ground with his sister and. And. The most beautiful girl he had ever seen, although the gas wasn't proper blood, it had the same qualities that blood has so he was back to normal, human. His eyes where stuck on the girl "vampire", everytime he tryed to thank his sister he couldn't move his eyes away.
"Mu.. muh... Uh... We-... Well, um." He couldn't even say one sentance properly, he felt like he was in a trance, he couldn't stop it, not like when he was a vampire. He pulled himself up, still looking at her blank face, then turned to Danie [FINALY! This is not part of the story I am just saying it, I was never here!]
"Thank you Danie. Thank you" He grabed onto her sleave and pulled her to his chest, giving her a big hug, a tear dropped onto her water proof jacket. He felt happy.

Gem blinked shyly. Ray had changed back and was looking at her a little funny. Like he was seeing a girl for the first time, or something.
"Um...Ray? What's up with you? Can you not stare like that? It's making me nervous..." She said to him, standing up and dusting herself down.
What's up with him? It's almost like he's...in love...with...me??? Gem thought, her eyes widening. She'd only just met this guy-how could he be in love with her?! "Um...I...um...are you alright?"

Danie rested lightly but still heared what they were saying *Sob, sob* "Te-he...." Danie heard ray's thoughts "He does like you gem! I read his heart and mind they both say the same thing!" Danie wiped her tears and joined their two hands together "He he! do you like him gem?!"

Gem jumped up suddenly. Danie was awake, and had been listening the whole time.
"He he! Do you like him Gem?!" Danie had asked. She had joined the two vampire's hands together, forcing Gem down again. Gem, who was now standing up, had broken the bond.
"I...I...I...I..." Gem stammered, backing away.
What do I say to them? What do I say to Ray? I don't love him! I respect him, of course I do! But I don't love him! She thought, still backing away. And because the vamp me has told of 'another', Ray will think I love that other! Cana will be added to this already complicated web woven by this other vampire! I like Ray and Cana, but I'm more friendly with one because I've known him longer! Gem panicked.
"I...I...I...I'm sorry! I do not like you in the way you wish for me to like you!" She cried, running away. "I do not love you!"
[Just to let you guys know, Gem isn't here anymore, so I'm done rping in this post now-don't say you're going to get her and then expect her to come back, because, like I said, I'm done rping here now-arty~]
